So, I'm suspecting my lens or something (a setting?) in Focal. I see this issue on both my camera's and with or without extenders. Sometimes Focal actually warns me that it can't get a good consistent focus and asks me if I want to retry. ![]() IS is switched off of course.ĭuring the automatic measurements the focus is often all over the place in the lens profile graph. I have also tried my tripod, but it doesn't seem free of vibrations. ![]() The camera with lens is steady on a counter top on a high friction rubber mat. I have my printed target setup at around 17 meters (A3 size). I'm also combining the lens with the 1.4x (mkII) and 2x (mk.III) extenders. I am trying to calibrate my Canon 300mm f2.8 IS Mk.I lens on both my 7dmk.II and 5Dmk.III bodies (Using Reikan Focal, version 2.0.1).
